Roll the Dice at a Friendly Melbourne Board Game Tournament Club
Welcome to Vetrukis, a real, offline board game tournament club right in the heart of Melbourne. We bring tabletop players together for regular, well-run tournaments where strategy meets good company. Whether you’re chasing your first win or defending your reputation across the table, there’s a seat here with your name on it.
A Physical Club, Not an App
Vetrukis is a place you actually visit. We meet at our Melbourne venue on Collins Street, set up the boards, deal the cards, and play face to face. You won’t play any games through this website — this is where you learn what’s on, read the rules and register your spot. The gaming itself happens in person, around a table, with real people, real games and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.
Play Solo or Bring Your Team
Every tournament is open to two kinds of players. You can register as an individual and be matched into the event on your own, or you can register as part of a team and compete together across the rounds. Some events are built for lone strategists, others are made for teams to test their combined smarts — and plenty offer both.
Free and Paid Tournaments
We run a mix of free-entry and paid-entry tournaments so there’s always something to suit your week and your wallet. Free events are a relaxed way to get involved and meet the community. Paid events carry a small entry fee that helps cover the venue, game provision and running costs — and they’re described exactly as that: an entry fee, never a wager or a bet. You’ll always know the fee up front and what it includes.
Upcoming Events
Our calendar runs across late September, October and November, from beginner-friendly nights to our Spring Club Championship. Head to the Tournaments & Schedule page for the full line-up, start times and registration.
Something for Every Kind of Player
We host a genuine variety of tabletop formats — strategy board games, deck-building events, classic tabletop favourites, quick social games and full team challenges. New to tournaments? Our beginner-friendly events are made for you. Been playing for years? Our seasonal championships will keep you on your toes.
How It Works
Getting involved is simple. Browse the schedule and pick a tournament that suits you. Register online as an individual or a team. Turn up at our Melbourne venue, check in, and play through the rounds with a friendly crew of fellow players. Submitting the registration form is a request to take part — we’ll confirm your place once we’ve checked availability.
A Real Melbourne Gaming Community
Vetrukis is as much about the people as the play. Between rounds you’ll chat, swap tactics, discover new games and make friends who share your love of tabletop gaming. We keep the competition friendly and the conversation flowing.
Who It's For
Curious beginners, seasoned strategists, social players, and teams who want a regular fixture in their calendar — Vetrukis is for anyone who enjoys great board games and good company. No experience is required to get started.
